Shocking Twist

2017 for me, has been what some would classify as a rough one. Ask me a few years ago, and I would have agreed with that description. Heading into 2017, I was fresh off promotion, I moved my family into what my wife and I considered to be our dream home. We also became more active in our church. Little did I know all of that would change one winter morning. I woke up one morning in February only to arrive at work at an unsuspecting meeting with my boss, who told me that day would be my last with the company. The next few months were filled with uncertainty and stress as I watched bills pile up. Each morning my faith in God remained the same that he would see me through this tough time, and honestly, as my world quickly crumbled around me, I sometimes questioned did God love me. Especially when we lost our house and (2) cars, this may sound cliche, but it was at what I felt like my lowest point that my wife and I found our calling. It was also during this time that we learned to place our faith in Jesus completely. As a result of God, we were able to experience God’s awesome power and love, as he provided us a new home, a new job, and, most importantly, the chance to walk in his purpose and fulfill the calling he planned for us.
